After consultation with residents in Dymock Place the Community Council has decided to proceed with plans to place planters on the verge along the main road to brighten up the village. Everyone is invited to offer suggestions, or help in erection of the planters, and supply and maintenance of the plants. Contact the clerk directly or through this website. This can succeed only if the community joins in to work together.

Penley Playground

The wooden climbing frame in the playground was showing signs of rot and has been removed for safety reasons.  Wrexham Council has said that Penley should qualify for funding for refurbishment of the playground after a period of consultation with the local children.  The community council has tried to hurry things along but not successfully.  If you have any ideas or suggestions or complaints about the playground please add them to the "Your View" section of the website or contact the clerk.  Some children have already put forward plans for a skate park.  We are in contact with the appropriate authorities in Wrexham and will pass your views on.

Planning Applications

From September the planning department in Wrexham will publish all applications online so you can view plans without having to visit the department's office in Wrexham.  A link from this website will appear when the scheme goes live.
